script/package for opt. client deployment
« on: 23 Feb 2007, 02:54:56 pm »

One of our team members controls about 200 clients, and was looking around for a way to deploy the newest optimized apps. Curious if anyone has done this before, and what were the method (s) used. Thanks,

Paul

hello Paul,

think you can do that with BoincStudio alpha v0.5.5. You can download  it here:
http://forum.boincstudio.boinc.fr/boincstudio/support-international/liste_sujet-1.htm
Read the tutorials, download and try it.
I use it too, but have still one client for crunching.

Message in a bottle: massages don't fit in one...

Still: no solicitation on these boards Wink New BOINC Studio seems nice, but it would be even nicer if the code was open-sourced...
<edit>Er, I thought I remembered it wasn't open-source software before, but it seems the guys who took over the project released their code. They rewrote it from scratch, though. Kudos.</edit>

Cheers,
Simon.
