Is the optimized client broken?

I see you've also had a couple of successful results, 351918669 and 352081656. The SSE application doesn't seem to be causing trouble on other systems, perhaps those file access errors you saw indicate a temporary Windows problem?

I tried a boinc-addon at the time the first bad result crashed. I removed that addon, after this the second bad result crashed. I will have an eye on this in the future.

Currently I'm running the benchmarks and tests I have downloaded at this website.

At the moment all results are "strongly similar".

"strongly similar" is a funny phrase. Should it not be "exactly similar"?

I hope that running multimedia- and directx-applications will not cause trouble with the optimized client. CPDN was not running stable on my pc at the time i was playing games ...

Hi Jaaber,

the terminology it uses is correct - Seti@Home does it the same way. No two results usually are exactly identical. That's one of the functions of the quorum - to compare results returned and figure out whether they're sufficiently similar (strongly similar), weakly similar or not similar at all (invalid).

Also, the test scripts use a program by Tetsuji Maverick Rai called "rescmp" that does the result comparison. It also uses the terminology explained above.

HTH,
Simon.
