Was wondering if anyone is working on a optimized app for Astro-pulse? Right now on my Core2 Quad running at 3.0--I'm seeing 35/40 hours to finish one unit. Hoping that you guys can pull a rabbit out of the hat again

Yes, testing needed, but you need access to prerelease area for that. Ask one of moderators to grant you such access.

Sadly Crunch3r 's version seems not to work. Here is what stderr.txt looks like on T7200 running OpenSuSe 10.3 64bit after a first standalone test:
Can't open init data file - running in standalone mode Can't open init data file - running in standalone mode SIGSEGV: segmentation violation Stack trace (6 frames): [0x4279b9] [0x56d390] [0x4194a5] [0x40046a] [0x56e0bc] [0x400209]

Crunch3r did try another build today of the optimized AP for linux, this time 32bit sse3. This one seems to work. Testing is underway (early T7200 speedup: ca. 67%) later: 27.325%, 6:42:00 hous => prediction: ca. 24.52 hours total, taking 60 hours as previous host average, this build seems ca. 2.45 times faster. the other day: Final run time: 24:14 hours, final speedup factor: 2.47 times faster than stock.
