Gecko_R7 posted at the SETI@home board, that the opt. Team would like to hear at this board the meanings and experiences..  Thank you to all who made it possible this new apps!!  My QX6700 (before with S@H 5.15 Rev. 2.4V SSE3, now with SSSE3x) need ~ 5 to 10 W more.. And the CPU is ~ 1 - 2 °C hotter.. and sometimes for short time (it depend at which WU-progress) 1 - 2 °C hotter additional.. (so complete 2 - 4 °C hotter) Maybe RAM-area air ~ 1 °C hotter also..QX6700 -2.66 @ 3.14 GHz OC to now stable..

So, your CPU is used better now Wattage and temperature increase are just consequences of that fact  |
